Please note that Democracy Reform Oregon changed its name from the Money in Politics Research Action Project in 2007.
Data in the following tables is from a database maintained by the Democracy Reform Oregon (DRO). This database was built by the National Institute on Money in State Politics from contribution reports filed by Oregon candidates with the Secretary of State. Democracy Reform Oregon staff have "ground truthed" the data to ensure that all amended and supplemental reports are included and the National Institute's data entry procedures involve extensive quality control checks. Nevertheless this is a huge data entry job and we welcome having any discrepancies in data brought to our attention. Democracy Reform Oregon staff can make queries into our database to access additional information upon request. If using this data, crediting Democracy Reform Oregon is appreciated.
Contributions are for both the primary and general elections. Contributors are coded by group and industry classifications based on information provided about occupation and employer on contribution reports. Other receipts are dollars that a campaign receives as refunds or reimbusements and cannot be linked to a specific contributor. Unknown contributions are from individuals or groups for whom a coding has not yet been identified or cannot be identified with the information provided.
